  • The Nurse-Midwifery program is geared toward caring for women’s health with a focus in labor and birth. Our midwifery program is ideal for registered nurses looking to deepen their understanding of primary care of women, women’s reproductive health, antepartum care, and attendance with women in labor and birth. Recognized as primary care providers, nurse-midwives provide a wide range of healthcare services including gynecological care, contraceptive prescriptions and management, birth attendance, and care of the newborn during their first month of life. UC’s program is offered online with two skills intensives that take place on campus. Admissions requirements include an active, unrestricted current United States RN license; BSN with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; science GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; and a minimum of one year RN experience in the US.
