With an outstanding national reputation earned over more than a century, the College of Nursing traces its history to 1898 and was the first College of Nursing in Tennessee. Housed in the resource-rich environment of an urban medical campus, the College of Nursing offers a highly-educated, research-oriented faculty with a focus on developing nursing leaders. The College currently offers a 12-month, second-degree accelerated BSN program, a traditional, four-semester BSN program, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with eight concentrations and three dual DNP concentrations.
