WSNA Washington State Nurses Association

For more than 100 years, the Washington State Nurses Associ­a­tion (WSNA) has champi­oned issues that support nurses and improve the health of individ­uals and families in Washington state — from early efforts to regulate nursing practice and respond to the first nursing short­ages to health care reform imple­men­ta­tion and the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Our history is a journey of gener­a­tions of regis­tered nurses who conceived and believed in a member­ship associ­a­tion dedicated to advancing profes­sional nursing standards, defending social justice, and promoting respect and economic value for regis­tered nurses. It was because of the unwavering dedica­tion, commit­ment, tenacity, perse­ver­ance and never-ending hard work of these members that WSNA still exists today.
